Stucco Remediation

Stucco Remediation is often confused with Stucco repair.  The main difference between the two is that Stucco repair focuses primarily on replacing damaged Stucco while Stucco Remediation focuses on not only replacing damaged Stucco but replacing damaged sheathing as a result of the stucco failure.  In addition to the repair of both Stucco and sheathing, the main goal of remediation is to find and fix the cause of the water penetration.  Often these problems result from a roof leak that has lead to stucco damaged.  Once the roof is fixed homeowners often think their problem is solved.  However this is not usually the case.  Often water is trapped behind the stucco and exterior wall resulting in damaging the stucco, lath and sheathing of the home.     Proper removal remediation is necessary to correct the problem and stop further deterioration.
